Each person plays different roles and presents different identities: we are sons, sisters, or parents; we are lesbians, deafblind, and migrants. These identities are tied to systems of power. Some characteristics provide us with advantages, while others are disadvantaged by society. In our workshops, we explore certain identities and systems and attempt to provide tools to better understand our identities and the societies in which we live.

Have you been intrigued by our basic workshop on feminism? Or have you already discovered the basics of feminism and want to learn more? Then this workshop is for you. We will delve deeper into the how and what of feminism in this session.

Cultural identity, community identity, personal identity, professional identity… Depending on the situation, we face various identities. What if you are also Deaf? Would you like to learn more about your identity as a whole person? A journey as a Deaf citizen? Then this theme is for you.

Would you like to understand what attitudes you can adopt when interacting with Deaf individuals? In our society, there are sometimes norms and behaviours that seem natural to us but are detrimental to Deaf people. This can lead (unconsciously) to discrimination against Deaf individuals, known as audism. If this piques your curiosity and you’d like to reflect on these structures and behaviours, please feel free to contact us; we would be happy to share more during a session.

Deafhood is a concept created by Paddy Ladd and has already gained wide recognition within Deaf communities on an international scale. Unfortunately, this concept is not yet familiar to many of us here. Being Deaf is defined as a sense of kinship among Deaf individuals who share similar experiences in various situations. This concept deserves to be known by everyone. We can offer one or more workshops on this new concept for all types of audiences.

How did Deaf individuals live in the past? You probably know that it was once forbidden to use sign language in schools. This had a significant impact on the lives of Deaf individuals. Fortunately, we have a rich history of Deaf people who fought for more rights for the Deaf community. Do you know who they are? In this workshop, we will dive into our history.
